What can be used as a good makeshift mouse pad
I have a wireless laser mouse that totally sucks, and I'm not sure if it's because it's almost broken or because I'm using the wrong surface (my laptop, my bed, various pillows)
I don't have any mouse pads and I don't feel like leaving my house just to buy one. What works well so I can actually play Mass Effect without feeling like Commander Shepard has Parkinson's

Re: What can be used as a good makeshift mouse pad
Hmmm... maybe a large hardcover book?
Or a bed of needles??
Actually, I'm using my bed's comforter as a mousepad right now, and it works fine. I have my mouse speed turned up just a little. The brand of my wireless mouse is "Inland."

A book cover is all I can think of
is it an LED mouse or a laser mouse? LED mice suck

So it looks like everyone agrees that a hardcover book is the only possible option.

Are you sure it's laser? Because laser is supposed to work properly on any surface, except glass or a mirror.
If so you clearly need a new laser mouse.
Also, DAMN prooker. Who is that lovely lady in your avy?
