Default Twin Peaks

So I watched about half of the original series on Netflix--as much as I could stomach, anyway (it gets so weird and inconsistent later on), so I was interested enough in the story to want to see how they resolved it finally with that new season they kicked off on Showtime earlier this year.

I don't have Showtime, so I just watched people's recap videos on youtube each week. They seem to do a good job of cliffnotes-ing the episodes with enough detail to keep you in the loop.

Anyway, long story short: I knew that David Lynch wouldn't give people the satisfaction of a reasonable ending that ties things off nicely, and I was STILL disappointed.

I'd say don't waste your time unless you're a hardcore fan who really needs to see how things play out (but still, don't expect closure).

the thing about Twin Peaks is it's not really the kind of show where you should even expect comprehensible plot lines or closure. the whole thing is like a lucid dream. and the new season was even more far out than the original.

So, how are things back in 1991? Watch out for that Osama bin Laden, he's a bad egg!
