At the Sand Sanctuary how do you get to the guy?

While on the train prior to the sanctuary, you need to note on your map the locations of the statues that you saw earlier and extend lines from those positions in the direction each statue is facing.

Once you enter the sanctuary area, note the darker spots on the map. These positions match the positions of the statues you were marking down earlier. Once again extend lines in the directions the statues were facing, and you'll find that they intersect towards the center of the map. Place a bomb at this point to reveal the entrance to the sanctuary.

Look at all the statues and see where they intersect. And record where they are on your Sand sanctuary map.

I've did that several times and I keep coming up with the same spot that isn't the right spot. My friends can't solve it either. Where is the right spot?

Even if it's not exactly at where your lines intersect, try bombing several spots around there and you should find it eventually.

Here ya go:

There is a rectangular area in the sand just to the left of the middle of the map and the lines intersect near the top-right part of this rectangle. Place a bomb here or use a bomb flower from one of the higher platforms. This will cause a staircase to appear in the sand. Walk down the steps.
