Design costumes, nyukka. I expect your preliminary sketches for all principal characters by the end of the month. In period.
For Misanthrope, not Tartuffe. But go ahead and read Tartuffe too if you want, they're both solid.
EDIT - You'll never find them, Tom. They're hidden where they'll be safe from people like you.

Re: Ryu-Gi's General Art Thread 2011
I just signed up on "ConceptArt.org". I was recommended this site a few times back at Ai and never really looked into it until now.
The site also helps artists to find jobs, which is another huge plus.

Not yet, that's why I have to keep working. That means getting critiques and advice from fellow artists and improving based on their suggestions.

Re: Ryu-Gi's General Art Thread 2011
Eugh, I can try and look at some stuff after I get comic work done, but the few times I've tried to provide criticism months ago, it wasn't well received.
That makes me less inclined to help, sorry. Good luck with that concept art site though. I still have a ways to go I think before I'd consider signing up there.

Re: Ryu-Gi's General Art Thread 2011
ANOTHER Selene Redesign. I want to try making a much more nicer, more professional-looking 3D model and decided to make a new design first. (All the job listings I'm finding request portfolio pieces, and I realize that my current Selene Model isn't up to snuff.)
Simplifying the design was a priority here. I realized that my biggest problem when it comes to Selene's outfit is that I have too many ideas and I try to implement them all at the same time, which is why the outfits tend to be "crowded". This time I only stuck with a couple of elements that worked together well and stuck with those. I also let go of the metal garter-belt things I've ALWAYS implemented into her design and went for something like chaps instead.
I kinda wish I was back at the art Institute...so I could ask my classmates for critiques. My post over at ConceptArt.org has pretty much been buried under other people's sketchbook threads because noone's looked at it. (That's most likely because my thread dosen't have a preview image on it, something all the other ones have. I haven't figured out how to make one yet...)
Also tried looking back at the current Selen 3D model again...The face...I don't know why, but it just dosen't look right still. It's hard being emotional invested in a character model...it's much easier to do someone else's design sometimes because you're less clingy about specific details and you can focus more on getting the job done well instead of obsessing over trying to make it perfect...

Yeah, yeah, I know. I do make an effort to avoid these cliches, but I do so for my OTHER female characters.
Selene's my one scantily-clad warrior girl from now on. The rest will change, but not Selene.
EDIT: YAY!!! I got my first comment on Conceptart.org!

That's how Djurdjevic started as well and now he's one of the top guys in Marvel. Also give yourself a task to draw every hour (when you can) be it on a train, your couch or enywhere for that matter. I guaranty u the difference will be huge. Brain is just like any other muscle. More you train it, more u get out of it.

Draw more often, practice drawing individual parts of anatomy. That's my goal!

For once, I agree with the random internet guy who can't spell. The more you draw, and the more you draw specific things, the better.

Re: Ryu-Gi's General Art Thread 2011
I would think that that's something that's important for anybody wanting to be an artist. It was one of the fundamental things I was taught back in gradeschool. e__e
Gotta draw everyday, draw something new and practice often. Look at how other artists work too. You might find some inspiration there and incorporate it into your own style.
