Nice to see you're human, poe
I was sure you were some kind of steampunk-style automaton until about 15 minutes ago

I always imagined Poe as some late 18th century scholar well into his twilight years who wrote his posts in candle light on a plumed feather ink pen and somehow transcribed them to the internet.

By the way Poe while you were gone we all started reading Homestuck and it tends to find its way into pretty much all of our conversations

Yeah everything about ZP is different. We even had a field trip to ZU! Actually, that one didn't end so well....I think just about everyone got banned....and now ZU is now eternally associated with paedophilia in our minds....also Drk is getting banned on and off....so yeah nothing has changed whatsoever.
By the by, you were always one of the most entertaining people on ZP for me.

Excuses. Sy himself admitted my inevitable betrayal came sooner than he expected; frankly, based on the patterns of movement up until that point, I'd expect if he hadn't missed that turn, he'd have been even less capable of defending against me there, albeit having a stronger presence out in your area. So between your insistence on attacking Poe, and Symuun's being in a poor position to deal with either of us, I expect it would have been largely the same result if Sy hadn't missed that turn.
On the other hand, Poe could have had an easier time convincing Sy that a cease fire was the right strategy, but again, he was unprepared for my betrayal and wasn't in a strong position to fight back, whereas I had already set myself up in a strong position to invade him. Turning and fighting then may have actually been a bad idea for him in and of itself.
But, hey, speculation is a sucker's game, right? Symuun did miss that turn and Poe had a valid strategy for dealing with the end result that you ignored to your detriment.

I don't care either way because I can just continue to blame losing on freebooter.

I looked over the turn history, and while I can't remember what negotiations were happening, I think my mistake was to attack France in the first place. I didn't have the right forces or the right angle of attack for it. Italy's always in a tough position, of course, but I think I'd have been better served by claiming some more northern territories first and then flanking you around Switzerland. Maybe I had some kind of agreement with Germany, I can't remember.

Sure, don't you remember? Early on you made agreements with both me and Largo, while Poe, Freebooter and Ezhno were openly aligned. Zaketo got shafted. Ezhno helped Freebooter with defeating Largo, but failed to do much expanding himself, and ultimately fell at my hands. With an even third of our alliances defeated apiece, Freebooter betrayed Poe and I betrayed you. It worked out better for me.

Re: Yes, yes, fine, I'll make a topic...
It worked out better for you because I was in the middle of beating the crap out of symuun for attempting to invade me. We were both vulnerable, but symuun was much easier to stab because he'd already lost half his supply centers.
