A Night at the Symphony Print E-mail
Friday, 26 May 2006

Well, as you may remember, I mentioned a certain "Play! A Videogame Symphony" a little while back. Check this article if you don't remember. Tomorrow, Saturday, May 27th, the world premiere showing of the symphony will kick off at the Rosemont Theater in Chicago, Illinois. I'm more than a little excited, and it's especially exciting because the show is practically in my back yard!

The show will be featuring a massive amount of game music from all sorts of great game composers like Nobuo Uematsu and Koji Kondo, to name just a couple. These game music giants along with a great deal of others will all be at the event themselves and will be attending a "meet and greet" event later in the evening. This is, in my opinion, going to be the biggest game music event in history to hit the United States. If you can't attend this most celebratory event, don't feel too bummed; there will be several other showings of this symphony around the world over the coming months. Check the symphony's site for more details.

You can be sure I'll take a lot of pictures and have a whole bunch to say about this symphony once it's over, so be on the look out for a follow-up article to this one in the near future. Maybe I'll see some of you there, even! :D
