It's been a while since I have last updated!
With Kao away in Japan (which has made me a bit jelous to say the least) I thought I would just stop by and leave a little update.
It's been a bit of a tough year for me, but hopefully next year will improve! I'm still interested in the Zelda games, although my interest in the Wii has unfourtunatly dwiddled a bit since Nintendo only seems to be interested in casual games at the moment.
I hang my head in shame and can say I still have not beaten Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass! Well, I think I could beat Twilight Princess if I sit down for 5 hours and finish it off.. maybe over xmas.
As Kao said, its Ocarina of Times 10th Anniversary - although being from the UK it was released on 11th December 2008 so its birthday is in a couple of days. I still remember the day I got up early to go and get my pre-ordered copy and with joy tore the plastic off the box. Good times.
Hopefully I'll update again at some point, but in any case I wish all our readers a very merry xmas.

Hey, everyone. Welcome to ZeldaPower.
I apologize for the lack of site updates the last couple months. I've been pretty busy, and also sort of lazy about updating. But today is a very special day: It's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's 10th birthday!
Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a true masterpiece in gaming history, and is still considered by many to be the best game ever created. Ten years ago today, gamers around the world entered the fantasy land of Hyrule on their Nintendo 64s, and experienced a game unlike any other. For many, this was their introduction to the world of Zelda. Millions played through this incredible journey and fell in love with the world, characters, story, and everything that makes a Zelda game special and different from any other game. It would be hard to overstate the influence Zelda: Ocarina of Time has had on not just the world of gaming, but also on players' lives.
Here's to Ocarina of Time! Thank you for all the memories. :)
I've also updated the site with 15 new pages of GlitterBerri's fantastic English translation of the Legend of Zelda manga. Those can be found at her blog, as well as in the Comics section to your left.
Finally, I'd like to mention that on Friday I'm leaving for Japan for two weeks. I'll update with pictures when I get back! |

Nintendo Fall Conference - DSi and so Much More! |

Nintendo has their Fall 2008 Conference, where they showed current and upcoming developments for their Wii and DS platforms. Almost half of the conference was dedicated to the new model of the Nintendo DS: The Nintendo DSi.
As this is just a new model of the DS platform, all your current DS games will of course still play on it. However, the DSi system is a little smaller and lighter than the DS Lite, and has several major technical improvements over its predecessor: Slightly larger screens, a new Wii-like menu interface, built-in software like a photo editor and an audio player, the ability to connect to the Nintendo online shop and download applications and software for free (i.e. web browser and a basic drawing/photo animation program) or with Nintendo Points (which is the new name for Wii Points), two digital cameras (one on the exterior, and one on the interior), SD card support (for music playback, photo storage, downloadable content storage, etc), as well as a few other technical improvements. Unfortunately the DSi will not support GBA games. On the other hand, you can always play your GBA games on a DS Lite, DS original, or a GBA itself!
The Nintendo DSi will launch in Japan the 1st of November, and will appear in other countries sometime in 2009.
Be sure to watch Nintendo's fall conference to learn all about these and many, many more exciting bits of news in the world of Wii and DS! |

3 Pages of The Legend of Zelda Manga, New Poll |

Saturday, 20 September 2008 |
Welcome to another ZP update, everyone. :)
Today we have put up three new recently translated pages of the Legend of Zelda manga from GlitterBerri's blog. Ganon has captured Zelda! Will she be able to survive? The manga can be found in the Comics section on your left.
Also, we have a new site poll asking if you think it would be a good idea to have multiple difficulty settings in future Zelda games. A difficulty setting would allow more advanced Zelda players to have a more challening game experience while not jeopardizing the experience of players who are newer to Zelda games. However, a counter-argument is that Zelda games should present a single gameplay experience to all players and that instead of offering multiple difficulty settings, Nintendo should instead focus on perfecting the balance of that gameplay experience so that it works well for both new and veteran Zelda gamers. What do you think? Place your vote in the site poll on the bottom right and let your voice be heard on the issue!
Here are the results from the previous site poll:

Obviously most people were against the idea of a WiiWare Zelda title being made in any capacity! |
