Wow, these guys are AWESOME! If you're looking for some fun - these guys are trying to beat 7 Legend of Zelda games in 72 hours flat. The best part, however, is that they are broadcasting live and interacting with their users. Another cool thing they're doing is handing out a prize to one person per game. If you e-mail them, you will be put in to a drawing and it will be randomly selected during the game.

Here are some specifics:

3 gamers will be completing 7 games in 72 hours. Heres the list of games:

The Legend of Zelda (Virtual Console)
The Adventure of Link (Virtual Console)
A Link to the Past (Virtual Console)
Ocarina of Time (will be played on the N64)
Majoras Mask (will be played on the N64)
Windwaker
Zelda: Twilight Princess

Welcome to another update of ZeldaPower.com :)

I know it's been a while since I updated last, but I've got a pretty good-sized update for you today, and we should be having some very interesting updates in the future.

First off, the News section has been updated with some very exciting news about Sheik in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. You're definately going to want to read up on that.

Next up, I have added new Tips and Tricks submitted to us by ZeldaPower member Niroht. It's some good information on getting through the Windfish's Egg, as well as how to achieve the secret ending to the game! You can read about it here.

We also have nine Super Smash Bros. Brawl tracks added to our music section. There's some really great music in this game! You can check them out here.

Third, several screenshots have been added to the Link's Crossbow Training section. You can get there through the "Other Games" menu on your left.

Sneaking a story into Zelda
Written by Aaron

Who would have thought it - Miyamoto - the creator of beloved characters such as Mario and Link - doesn't actually like storys in his games.

Thankfully, Yoshiaki Koizumi, who has worked at Nintendo for over 16 years has been sneaking as much story into Miyamotos games as possible.

Speaking in an interview, Koizumi - the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development (EAD) studio veteran - said:

"...EAD doesn't tend to focus on the big story in most of their games. But I was the one coming up with scenarios, just on my own, ever since the time of Link's Awakening. But even at that time, I felt like I came up with this entire scenario and a backstory for Link, but nobody really seemed to care. They were always saying, let's not try to push the story forward too much.

"So I would sort of try to find sneaky ways to get it in without them noticing too much. For example, I always liked the idea of you coming upon another character and hearing little bits of conversation that slowly begin to reveal different parts of the story. And that was the way that I tried to work on Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. A lot of the EAD games that do seem to have a lot of story, a lot of that came from my influence. But those are aspects of the games that Miyamoto wasn't nearly as fond of and occasionally didn't like."

Let us all salute Yoshiaki Koizumi for his effort in storytelling!
