Welcome to another ZeldaPower.com update! I've finally gotten around to posting GlitterBerri's translation of the sixteenth part of the Ocarina of Time staff interviews (she's temporarily skipping over part fifteen). This interview is definitely something you're going to want to check out. It features several Ocarina of Time staff members talking about some of the technical problems they ran into during the game's development. For example, did you know that they had to totally rework the Water Temple because they changed the amount of time Link can stay under water? It's really a fascinating read which gives us considerable insight into the game's production. Check it out over in the Features section, or at GlitterBerri's blog!

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Announced! |

Today at the 2009 Game Developer's Conference, Nintendo's Preisdent Satoru Iwata announced a brand new Zelda game coming to the Nintendo DS later this year!
In The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, players once again take on the role of Link in a portable dungeon-exploring adventure somewhat in the vein of Phantom Hourglass. However, this time you have the ability to control a phantom knight (like those from Phantom Hourglass) to fight off other enemy creatures and solve puzzles. The two-screen boss battles from Phantom Hourglass will also be making a return, with the game's trailer showing Link battling an enormous beetle-like boss character! Additionally, you ride a train armed with canons this time around instead of a boat. New skills and weapons could be seen in the trailer shown at the event.
Not much else appears to be known about the title at this time, but as soon as we have more information, you can be sure we'll keep you updated.
Update: The Zelda: Spirit Tracks section is now up, with the trailer shown earlier this morning and nine screenshots taken of it! |

The Speed Gamers are once again presenting another Zelda marathon, and it's one of the most feature-filled marathons yet with a whopping 13 games over 72 hours!! The marathon, starting Friday March 13th, is once again to raise money for a Charity. This time, the charity is Ally's House, a group that helps with medical and other expenses for families with children undergoing cancer treatement. |
