Majora's Mask on the Virtual Console in US Print E-mail

At long last, Zelda: Majora's Mask has now been released on Wii's Virtual Console here in the United States. You can download it for 1000 Nintendo Points (about $10). As is the case with all N64 games released on the Virtual Console, this release of Majora's Mask features cleaner image quality due to the Virtual Console's subtle smoothing of normally jagged edges.

Majora's Mask was very much in Ocarina of Time's shadow when it first released. It was a great game, but because of how different it was from Ocarina of Time (and indeed any game in the series up to that point, and arguably since), some players didn't respond to it positively. Going on ninte years from its original release, it seems that more and more people have come to give Majora's Mask the appreciation it has always deserved. I feel that more and more, Zelda fans are looking for a Zelda game that plays a bit differently from the well-established Zelda gameplay style. And if there's any one word that describes Majora's Mask best, it would be "different" (in a good way).

To go along with the VC release of the game, we have added a FAQ/guide for the game's Curiosity Shop, submitted to us by ZeldaPower user ZC, to the Majora's Mask section's Walkthroughs page. You can get there through the link, or by going to the Majora's Mask section over on your left.
