The Nintendo conference has just ended, and wow, what an event! Loads of brand new titles were announced at this year's conference, including brand new Mario and Metroid. Here's a run down of the key events at the conference:

New Super Mario Bros Wii
New Super Mario Bros Wii is the same tried and true NSMB gameplay returns, this time on Wii. However, with a brand new key feature - Multiplayer! Up to 4 people can play co-operatively through out the entire game in real-time, completing the entire game as they go along. Players can either assist each other to complete the level or compete against each other to get the best score at the end of the level, and at the end of the game. Comes out this fall.

Wii Fit Plus
Players can experience an improved version of Wii Fit, called Wii Fit Plus, which allows players to adjust their workouts according to how they want, and according to how much free time they have. It also features fifteen new mini-games which help you tone your body while having fun! Launches this year.

Wii Sports Resort
Wii Sports Resort takes full control of Wii MotionPlus, giving players an unprecedented degree of control. Players will start off jumping out of a plane and controlling their Mii using their Wii Remote with WMP to show players just how precise WMP is. When landing on the ground, players will have access to a large variety of activities such as kayaking, archery, and water racing. Launches July 26th.

Third Party MotionPlus games
Reggie announces that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 will be bundled with Wii MotionPlus, and EA Sports Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2010 will also have MotionPlus capabilities.

RPGs for Nintendo consoles
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 trailers were shown. Kingdom Hearts shows some form of Multiplayer component.

Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Mario and Luigi become microscopic plumbers and end up inside Bowser! Players must guide through Bowers belly! The game is once again, a sidescrolling RPG.

Golden Sun for DS
"A legendary RPG in the dark for 6 years is finally back once again", Golden Sun for DS! A small trailer was shown, albeit not showing too much. Game is fully 3D.

C.O.P: The Recruit
This brand new IP from Ubisoft features an open urban world which seems to blend in elements of 3D GTA and Resident Evil 4. Players can traverse through a massive open world, either on foot or on car, and shoot some bad guys using >RE4-esque controls.

Games for Casuals
Style Savvy for DS was announced, which appears to be a make-up/catwalk sim intended for younger audiences. Also, Women's Murder Club: Games of Passion was announced, marrying the work of James Patterson and the intuitive gameplay found only on DS.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again In this brand new Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, exclusive to DSi, players must battle in similar fashions as in previous games, but they can now make their own levels and send them to friends over Wi-Fi or locally. This presents a shift towards Nintendo focusing more on user created content. Coming June 8th!

Wario Ware DIY
Putting more focus on this shift is Wario Ware DIY, a game also exclusive to DSi, where players can literally make their own Wario Ware minigames!! Drawing graphics, adding logic, music, and so on. Just like in MvDK, players can also trade these user generated levels over Wi-Fi or locally.

Wii Vitality Sensor
Iwata announced a brand new peripheral called the Wii Vitality Sensor. This brand new sensor can detect your heart beat just by placing your finger inside the small device. This new peripheral Iwata hopes to help players calm down more, and possibly even help them to sleep (it could, of course, manage to detect you're completely freaking out in a horror title and try to freak you out even more, but moving on...)

Super Mario Galaxy 2!
For the first time ever, a Nintendo console will have 2 brand new 3D Mario games exclusively on Wii. Super Mario Galaxy 2 appears to have the return of gravity-based puzzles, but also introduces Yoshi! The trailer also very briefly showed warships (as in, the ones from SMB3!) and stopping time via push buttons. The trailer also featured some "2.5D" sidescrolling gameplay. Just confirmed to be a 2010 release.

Facebook support! Nintendo DSi owners will now be able to upload their photos directly onto Facebook! Unfortunately, the finer details on how this will happen aren't clear at this time, though.

Third Party Edge
Reggie showcases some of the more mature titles coming out from third parties on Wii, namely Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, The Conduit and Dead Space: Extraction.

New Metroid!
Team Ninja and Nintendo in an unprecedented team up will be bringing us a brand new Metroid game for Wii!! The game will also be "edgier and more mature", catering to core audiences who want these games. As Team Ninja is known for its mature range of titles such as Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, rest assured this new Metroid will be just that. The game appears to be a third person shooter adventure, and full of explosive action. Out 2010.

Well, that raps it up! It's definitely one of the best E3s from Nintendo in a while. Leave your comments on the site or post your comments in the official Nintendo E3 thread in our forums!
