Sheik, a character who had been previously confirmed as a fighter in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl, was revealed on the official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website today.

Sheik once again appears as a transformation of Zelda, rather than a seperate fighter. Her special moves include Smash Bros. Melee's Needle Storm, Chain, Vanish, and Transform, as well as a new move, Light Arrow, which is the smash attack that she shares with Zelda.

Although Sheik's sex was somewhat ambigious in the character's previous two appearances (once in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and once in Super Smash Bros. Melee), she is being consistantly refered to as a female in Brawl.

Her current character design was in fact based off of a design that was drafted up during the development of Zelda: Twilight Princess (although Sheik does not appear in that game). One of the noticable changes to her design is the addition of long hair wich is tied in a pony tail in back with cloth and metal.

With Sheik being revealed, it is very likely Ganondorf (the other previously confirmed Zelda fighter) will also be making his appearance in the game. For more information on Sheik in Brawl, click here.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is currently set for a March 9th, 2008 release date in the US.
