In the 3rd part of a recent interview with the Wii system designers and Mr. Iwata, it was revealed that Wii's OS is capable of being updated. Couple that new bit of knowledge with the WiiConnect24 service and the possibilities are very exciting indeed!
Takeda: Wii is the first machine that Nintendo can update its OS(Operating System). So, possiblity of Wii can be enlarged in the future. You can look forward to this feature, and I am very excited about it too.
What this means is the Wii can have updates to its programming and features whenever Nintendo wants. You could even recieve an update while you're asleep, thanks to WiiConnect24!
