Today, March 26th 2008, is a very special day for ZeldaPower; Today marks ZeldaPower's 10 year anniversary!
Ten years ago, our founding webmaster, Aaron Holt, created a site dedicated to the highly anticipated future installment of the Zelda series: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That site was named Zelda 64 On-Line. Aaron would update the site daily with screenshots and information on Ocarian of Time. The site started growing more and more as the months passed, and it started getting more visitors as well. It was in January of 1999 that Zelda 64 On-Line became ZeldaPower.com. Be sure to read more about ZeldaPower's history on our wiki! It's hard to really grasp that this Zelda site has been around for a full decade--What an incredible journey it has been! A lot has changed over the years; The number of games in the Zelda series has about tripled since this site was launched in 1998. Primary care of the site mainly rests in the hands of Kosovar and myself, now. We have more Zelda content on the site now than ever before in ZeldaPower's history. But for all that has changed since ZeldaPower's creation, there is so much about ZP that has never really changed; ZeldaPower is still a large source for Zelda news, information, and media, and we continue to be a place for Zelda fans to gather in a friendly, tight-knit community. ZeldaPower was one of the early "big" Zelda fan sites, and I feel that we continue to offer something unique and special. I discovered this wonderful place myself back in mid to late 1999, and it really has changed my life in a profound way. ZeldaPower has been a sort of online home for me over the years, and it has given me so much. The people here are fantastic, and I have found so much friendship and kindness in them. So I would like to congratulate ZeldaPower, not just as a Zelda fan site, but also as a collection of wonderful individuals. And I would also like to say thank you to each and every ZeldaPower viewer. :) 
Congratulations on ten years, ZeldaPower!We've updated the Link's Crossbow Training section with Tips and Tricks. Having a tough time getting a medal in a certain level, or want to know some good tactics to push your scores even higher? This is the page for you! We also have a brand new Zelda: Phantom Hourglass walkthrough by Super Slash. This walkthrough is very comprehensive and should help you quite a bit if you're stuck in the game or looking for a certain item. And finally, we have a new site poll listed over on the right. What graphical style do you want in the next Zelda game? Let your voice be heard! As for the current results of the previous poll asking for opinions on Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the vast majority of people either liked or loved the game. However, there were many people who have not even played the game yet! If you haven't played it yet, you should definately go out and pick it up. It's a fantastic Zelda title. |
