Majora's Mask was the direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. This game was widely anticipated, and very well recieved, though arguably not as well as its predecessor Ocarina of Time. The game introduced Link to the strange, dark world of Termina. A Skull Kid who is possessed by the evil mask he wears wreaks havoc in this world, and uses his dark powers to pull a demonic moon ever closer to the planet.
His battles through time against the Evil King Ganon complete, Link returned to his childhood and began a journey to search for his dear friend Navi. One day while riding through The Lost Woods, his horse Epona was startled by faries and Link was thrown to the ground. When he regained consciousness, a Skull Kid wearing a strange mask was standing over him, Link's Ocarina of Time in his hand. Without saying a word, the Skull Kid jumped on Epona and rode off into the forest, Link trailing right behind. As Link chases the Skull Kid further and further into the forest, the land of Hyrule vanishes around Link, replaced by an increasingly strange, yet somehow eerily familiar new world. What is this dark power the masked Skull Kid has? What is he planning? And what is this strange new place?
